Eyes Down Bingo
Eyes Down is set in a bingo hall and tells the adventures of the staff that work there. Its funny and hilarious yet piognant as the staff are hardworking and also what happens when they are on a break. Paul O Grady is wonderful as the unflappable and sarcastic manager overlooking his staff. Oh and theres the hilarious cleaning lady! Eyes Down is a sitcom starring Paul O'Grady as Ray Temple, the manager of a bingo hall in Liverpool, England called The Rio, although the series was filmed in Rayners Lane in London. Although it had moderate ratings, the programme ran for two series until it was cancelled by the BBC in 2004.

Care home residents marking off their bingo cards

Elderly residents at a local nursing home weren't going to let the coronavirus pandemic get in the way of their bingo game.
It was ‘eyes down’ for the residents at Moorgate Lodge, in Rotherham, South Yorkshire as they attempted to win a full house during a game of bingo with callers from Mecca Bingo.
Mecca Bingo provided the care home residents with dabbers and game cards, the hosts from the bingo giant joined the residents via Zoom for an hour of lines, full houses, and Bingo!
Mona Pearson, aged 93, a resident at the care home, said: “I really enjoyed playing bingo with Mecca and I can’t wait to play again.”
'It is the first time that I have ever sat and played a game of bingo and I loved it! I used to be on the committee at the club but never played, it is now my favourite game because I won,' added 88-year-old resident Oliver Smalley.
Demi, from Mecca Bingo, said: ‘Mecca Bingo Rotherham wanted to help spread their bingo joy to others during these difficult times. We know that care homes have suffered severely through the pandemic by not seeing loved ones and having little entertainment or engagement from outside the residence. We have the facility to create virtual bingo and we are so pleased we can spread the bingo love!’
Samantha Sheppard, operations coordinator at Moorgate Lodge, said, “When Mecca Bingo invited residents at the Moorgate Care Village to take part in a round of bingo via Zoom, I knew we would have a full house. It was great to see the residents come together, even virtually, to take part.”

The demise of Cozy Partners has gone ahead and happened. It is as we expected – it shut down with no notification and it will not be missed. All bingo sites on the platform have either migrated to Pragmatic Play Bingo or in the case of GVC brands moved to GVC Affiliates.
The End of a Bad Bingo Affiliate Program
There will be no tears shed and truth be told since GVC took over Cozy Bingo and the Cozy Partners site – it got worse. There has been zero communication and the fact that they have simply shut the program down with not a single notice speaks volumes for the kind of attitude that is prevalent.
Smaller White Lable Bingo sites have mostly migrated to either Dragonfish or Pragmatic Play. Bingo sites owned by GVC including Foxy Bingo & Cheeky Bingo are all now on the GVC Affiliate program.
Smaller bingo sites like Mummies Bingo and Lucky Ladies Bingo have moved away from GVC completely. In the case of Mummies Bingo, it has moved to Dragonfish and Lucky Ladies to Pragmatic Play.
GVC Affiliates Home to Ex Cozy Bingo Sites
Taking a quick look at the GVC Affiliate site we noticed that they have a couple of testimonials for bingo sites on the program. One of them got our attention as according to SEMRush the site has zero traffic.
That would indicate that it is another internal site set up by GVC to aquire organic traffic. We have not had any dealings with GVC and with their affiliate terms being the way they are, we are unlikely to change this.
The one positive about the closure of Cozy Partners is that we can now redirect all of our old complaints to this single post. From now on we will concentrate on covering the positives in the bingo affiliate scene.
We do hope that they pay us our outstanding amount though. We are not holding our breath re that.
